Where your character begins
BEGIN
Your character is pushed out through a wormhole into Edge, the city built out of the ruins of Midgar. It's here they either passed out and were dragged to the 7th Heaven Hotel or found it on their own.
Edge is the city built out of the ruins of Midgar, it's bustling and full of life these days and looks a lot better up close than it does far away. It's here that people are are making a living and trying to live a normal everyday life.
Tifa had to move locations and buy a hotel in order to help those arriving, she's not the only one making sacrifices though because Cloud had to pay for it. You're greeted by Tifa and Mustadio usually. The hotel has 12 floors with ten rooms a piece on them. People are assigned here if they didn't come from Balamb Garden which is on the outside of Edge's map.
Balamb Garden came through a few months ago. It's been stuck here ever since and is accomodating people as well. They stay close to Edge, traveling when necessary and figuring out this new world together as students, instructors and SeeDs.
