FAQ + GUIDELINES

1. We are an inclusive roleplay, so please treat others how you want to be treated. Bigoted, selfish behaviors will not fly here with us. Please be respect of your fellow players, and keep ooc drama down to a minimum. However game drama is more than welcomed.
2. You may have up to six Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts characters but your other characters are limitless.
3. Activity checks will take place once a month on the 10th of the month, lasting until the 17th of the month. You will be required to provide one piece of activity that either has five replies from your character or a new log/network post/top-level they've made during the month. You will need one piece of activity per character.
4. We are a literate game, we expect you to be literate as well. We don't care how much you write, as long as you are understood.
5. No godmodding, this means controlling another person's character without their consent and no making your character so overpowered they can't be defeated. Use common sense.

What kinds of characters can be played here? Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts characters. We also allow characters that are fitted into the final fantasy worlds, so for instance say you want to play L Lawliet, then you would need to make him a brilliant SeeD from the world of FF8 or some other FF or KH world. We also allow CRAU, CANON, ALTERNATE VERSIONS such as Kingdom Hearts!Tifa and Final Fantasy 7 OG! Tifa and Remake!Tifa. You get our drift.
But we only allow three alternate characters. That is it.
Can I play KH!Cloud and FF7!Cloud? You may play two versions of a character, entirely up to you. but you cannot play a third. They can interact with each other, but they must be accompanied by another character or a narrative post. You cannot make your characters date each other.
What about minor canon characters I've fleshed out?
We love them! Even if they're only in one scene or have one or two lines of dialogue in canon, they're totally welcome! Show us how you've expanded on their personalities and lives!
Where can my character live after coming through one of the portals? They can live at 7th heaven Hotel with Cloud and crew or camp somewhere or get their own house once they have enough gil. You can find hotel room assignments here.
Will you be nerfing any character powers? Absolutely not, but remember if all else fails use a dice roll when characters are fighting each other to make it a fair fight or just use discretion.
Also, the exception to the "no nerfing" are characters who can generate portals. We don't want anybody being able to leave Gaia quite yet, so anyone who can make off-world portals will have that power reduced. Players can choose to have them able to make portals around Gaia or not be able to make any at all.
Is there a network? What do the devices look like? Yes, there's a network. Set up bytechgunner (Mustadio) and those within Edge. The devices look like this. They're fairly easy to figure out.
How does the network work? Strike outs aren't readable, but they can be hacked. Pictures can be seen if you want them to be seen. It works like any other network.
Instead of having a completed FAQ, we welcome potential players to ask questions at the mod contact or right here in the rules/faq. As questions are asked, we will update with questions and answers.

I am a little confused. Does this mean that any non KH/FF character has to be AUed to fit into the world, or are you just offering that as an additional option? If it is mandatory, how does that work with CRAU?
Also, if it is an option and not a requirement how does that work in conjunction with "You may have up to four Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts characters but your other characters are limitless"?
Also on the limitless thing, how many may be apped at a time?
How does head canon work? On this journal specifically because he's one I am likely to app but... I have a head canon with him that almost no one else thinks is possible. Would I have to app him as AU, or....?
Also a question regarding someone else I am considering... Well a few others actually. What about characters that naturally come with some variant on a plus one? Characters like Najaran who is a Cepter (summoner) from Culdcept who has creatures she can summon, some of whom can talk, all of whom are bound to her as long as she is the one who has their cards? Or someone like Agatha Heterodyne from Girl Genius who depending on canon point may or may not have a downloaded copy of her mother in her head, and who usually has one or more (often many more) dingbots with her. Dingbots are small mechanical creatures she created some of whom seem to be fully sentient and have a bit of power on their own. In addition to the dingbots and her mommy issues, she also has a 6 legged weasel and if she is CRAU she'll also have a few Pokémon from an event in Wake...
Okay, sorry I have so many questions! I'll try and shut up now and give you all a chance to answer. And I promise I am nicer than Xigbar. At least... I try to be.

As many as you want can be apped at a time.
You would not have to app him as AU, headcanons are perfectly fine here. We don't mind and encourage it.
Having plus one is fine, you can have it that way. You don't have to change anything. The Pokemon can be animals that are chained to the world of FF7. Dingbats are fine too. Long as they aren't overpowered.
Ask away! It's not that hard to app here. yes, you are much nicer than Xiggy. lol Hopefully you come play with us.

While I am a KH player from way back... I never really got into Final Fantasy. If I have to AU into the world for my non KH kids is there some place you can recommend for me to read up on what is expected?
Xigbar I am very happy to app as soon as I am allowed, though I did not see where it says when that is. But anyone I have to AU in I'd want to know more so that I can do it correctly.

I'll put an answer into the FAQ. Give me a few but it's as straight forward as possible. You just make them from any world, even the KH world and make them a character that way. For example to bypass the AU part, you can make it that your pokemon trainer is from a world in KH that is part of the world. I mean you could say that her world exists, it's just KH styled, so you can play her as you want. If that makes sense?
You can app now! :D Anytime is fine. We don't have a waiting period. You're basically claiming your character, we don't have a lengthy apping process. That's how both my co-mod and I wanted it.

Also: For the profile card in the journal... started fussing with one for Xigbar and there is a lot of info the game doesn't give us as far as I know, and Wiki isn't helping. Is it cool to just let him snark up those sections? >.> I have snark in as a placeholder for now. But like looking up his birthdate I instead found a calendar of shipping holidays... that just... huh? So would you prefer snark or just... picking dates and such that I just pick out of the aether? At least one other kiddo I am thinking of has the same issue where canon just does not give us birthdays or zodiac signs. (Though most aren't as ???? about age as Xigbar, lol)
And Yay! I am getting excited about this game. Reevaluating who I want though, since most of my early thoughts were heavily CRAUed. But I have lots of characters to choose from.

We decided to go with as little information as possible so players can jump right in the game, but it's obvious it's not helping you. I'll have to beef up these sections in a little bit. Just make up the stuff? I imagine Xigbar is an Aquarius (Joking of course, no idea what he would be. Not an XigBar player.) What other information do you want to know? Ask away, I don't mind.

One character I just realized I could probably AU in... would it be okay for there to be Nobodies on his world and a special Heartless that has unique capabilities? (The character is Sora from Laughing Under The Clouds and omg, my brain just flooded with a KH AU for him, if those things are acceptable.)
Also I took a screen shot of the snark answers to keep before I go fix it with picking stuff out, lol.
